The LA Clippers suffered a horrible loss in Game 7 to the Denver Nuggets, ending their season.

It was a tough night for the LA Clippers franchise in Game 7 of the Western Conference Playoffs. After being up 3-1 in their series with the Denver Nuggets, the Clippers lost three straight to end their season.

Coming into the season, there was a lot of hype for the Clippers. They were able to sign Kawhi Leonard and then basically traded for Paul George at the same time to create what looked like a great duo for the team.

Leonard was coming off a championship win with the Toronto Raptors and George has been an All-Star player for many years. While the Clippers had a good amount of success in the regular season as the No.2 seed in the West, that success didn’t translate to the playoffs.

In the first round, the Clippers were challenged by the Dallas Mavericks, who won two games while playing most of the series without Kristaps Porzingis.

After beating the Mavericks, the Clippers then held a 3-1 lead in their series with the Nuggets. Despite getting multiple chances to finish the job, the Clippers ended up losing the series.

Now, the franchise will have to reflect on what went wrong. On paper, there is a lot of talent on this team, but they came up way short of their goals. Considering how much they had to give for George, that trade has to be looked at as a big failure right now.

The Clippers have embraced the win-now mindset, and it looked like they were destined for a Western Conference showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After the brutal loss, it will be interesting to see how the Clippers navigate the offseason. With little draft picks left for the future, any significant move would likely involve a key player from the team this season.
