#1: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

The final player who could be the third option for the Lakers during the duration of the playoffs and even going into next season is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Caldwell-Pope has been quite streaky through the playoffs this season, however, he has shown flashes and entire games where he could be the third option for the team.

He is shooting an amazing 43.9% from three. This is something that is even better when you take into consideration that there were a couple of games in which he was ice cold from three. If he continues this hot streak he could be one of the most important players for the Lakers looking forward in the playoffs and even next season.

Along with this, he is a great defensive player and has been given tasks of having shifts of guarding the opposing teams best guard or wing player. For the most part he has handled this with ease.

He is only 26 years old and it is possible that he could still continue to improve as a player. Caldwell-Pope is not an ideal player to be the third option on a team that is contending like the Lakers, however, if he keeps playing at this level he very well could be the teams third option going into next year. Especially if he has a productive offseason and continues to improve his shooting and ability to finish at the basket.
