Los Angeles Lakers should not underestimate the Miami Heat
By Nick Ziegler
The Los Angeles Lakers are back in the NBA Finals and now know who they will be facing for a championship.
After the Miami Heat were able to finish off the Boston Celtics, the Los Angeles Lakers now know their opponent for the NBA Finals. It has been a long journey for the Lakers, but they will now be facing the Heat for the NBA Championship.
The Heat have been one of the biggest surprises of the NBA Bubble, as they were able to knock off the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics. While beating the Celtics might not have been too much of a surprise, the Heat knocking off the Bucks was a shocker.
For the entire season, the Bucks were the top team in the East, and seeing them knocked off was truly a shock. However, the Heat proved it was no fluke when they went on to beat the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Lakers have done a very good of not overlooking an opponent, and they will need to do that once again. After running through the East, the Heat are clearly a capable team and they have a embraced their ability to win against some of the best in the league.
Jimmy Butler is getting a lot of the attention as the best player on the Heat and their leader, but the Lakers will be facing a balanced attack against the Heat. While the Lakers are very dependent on their superstars, the Heat have multiple guys that have stepped up for them.
Even though the Lakers are fairly large favorites, the Heat should not be underestimated. Both of these teams have been great in the bubble and it has been a lot of fun seeing them both reach the NBA Finals. Hopefully, we will see a great series.
