Los Angeles Lakers must watch out for Goran Dragic

The Los Angeles Lakers will be starting their series against the Miami Heat on Wednesday. One player that they have to watch out for is Goran Dragic.

Coming into the NBA Finals, there are a ton of matchups and great players on both teams, as neither the Los Angeles Lakers or Miami Heat would have made it this far without them.

For the Lakers, they have relied heavily on their two stars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. These two have both played extremely well for them in the playoffs with Davis being a walking double-double and James nearly being a walking triple-double.

This is exactly what the Lakers envisioned when they traded for Davis, and it has been a duo that has lived up to expectations. While the Lakers rely on their two stars, the Heat operate a bit differently.

Miami is led by Jimmy Butler who they acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers, but they have a lot of depth and talent around him. There have been a lot of players who have stepped up for the Heat, but perhaps one of the underrated key players for them in the playoffs has been the play of Goran Dragic.

In the playoffs, Dragic is actually the leading scorer for the Heat, as he is averaging 20.9 points per game. Having good guard play is very important in the NBA, and Dragic is doing just that for the Heat.

Dragic is also shooting the ball fairly effectively, as he is shooting it over 45 percent from the field and over 35 percent from the 3-point line. For the Lakers, watching out for Dragic will be very important, as he has been very dangerous on the offensive end of the court.

Both Rajon Rondo and Alex Caruso will likely be tasked with guarding Dragic quite a bit, and they will have their hands full. Since the Heat have a lot of guys that can hurt the Lakers, they will have to defend well in 1v1 matchups.
