The LA Rams were able to keep up their winning ways in Week 5 with a victory against the Washington Football team.

After a mediocre performance against the New York Giants in Week 4, the LA Rams looked a lot better in Week 5 against the Washington Football team. The Giants really gave the Rams a close game, but the Rams were able to handle business against Washington more easily.

Coming into the week, Washington benched their quarterback Dwayne Haskins for Kyle Allen. It appears that Haskins won’t be in Washington for much longer, as the franchise looks like they will be going in a different direction.

In the win, the Rams faced both Kyle Allen and then Alex Smith, who made his first start in a few years since nearly losing his leg. It was great to see Smith back on the field, but he was sacked six times and Allen was sacked twice. With a team total of eight sacks, it was a really impressive showing for the Rams defense.

Even though Washington doesn’t have the greatest offense, this was a fantastic showing by the Rams. Since they were playing with the lead most of the game, they were able to pin their ears back and go after the quarterbacks of the Redskins.

Most of the damage from the pass rush came from Aaron Donald who had 4 sacks and Troy Reeder who had 3. Seeing the Rams defense play the way it did against Washington is very encouraging.

So far this season, the offense for the Rams has been really good and now it looks like the defense is starting to get near that level. With the Seattle Seahawks looking great this season, the Rams will need to be strong on both sides of the ball in order to win the division.
