With a 4-2 record, the LA Rams are off to a great start. In the second half of the season, Darrell Henderson Jr. should be the featured back.

The LA Rams are off to a strong start this season despite their recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. In a big showdown for the NFC West, the 49ers were able to control the game on the ground against the Rams and keep their talented offense off the field.

Even though the Rams were playing from behind, they were able to have some success on the ground with one of their running backs. Coming into the season it looked like there was going to be a three-man running back committee in Los Angeles.

However, the Rams look like they have a clear cut lead back, and that is Darrell Henderson. After really not being a factor for the Rams last season, Henderson has made the most of the opportunity this season, despite the Rams drafting Cam Akers in the second round.

With Akers battling some injuries and missing time, it has been Henderson who has clearly been the best running back on the team. So far this season, Henderson has totaled 348 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, and a 4.8 yards per carry average.

Considering how well Henderson has played, the Rams should really look to feature him more. So far this season, Henderson has been able to total over 80 rushing yards in a game three times and has gone over 100 rushing yards in the one game he reached the 20 carries plateau.

As we get closer to the second half of the season, the Rams should certainly look to feature Henderson more moving forward. When the Rams are running the ball well, the team really shines, so they should continue to prioritize it and use Henderson as the primary back.
