After some tough beats the last few years, the LA Dodgers have finally won the World Series.
The Dodgers have been in the playoffs for eight straight seasons, as the franchise has been one of the best in the league for the last decade. Unfortunately, that success has come with some heart break.
Despite the Dodgers being considered to be the best team in the majors many of those years, the Dodgers weren’t able to get a World Series win. However, that has now all changed, as the Dodgers were able to win the World Series against the Rays in a very strange and short season.
Prior to this season, the Dodgers have lost in the World Series the two times that they have made it in the last decade, as the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox beat them in back-to-back years.
The Dodgers made some big moves this offseason to improve their team, as the trade to bring in Mookie Betts might have the move that finally pushed them over the top.
In the clinching win, the Dodgers utilized their bullpen very nicely, while the Rays might have pulled their starter Blake Snell way too early in the game. The Dodgers ended up using 7 pitchers in the win, as Julio Urias was once again fantastic in closing the door on the Rays.
Even though it was a strange season due to the coronavirus, the Dodgers certainly earned this World Series win. This has been a very successful team for many years, and it is great to see Clayton Kershaw get a ring to help solidify him as one of the best pitchers of this generation.
With the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers winning the title, it is a good time to be a fan of Los Angeles teams.
