Lakers: 5 Players to Target Through Trades to make another championship run

Players the LA Lakers should target: Victor Oladipo
The next player that the Los Angeles Lakers should target in the trade market is Victor Oladipo. It has recently been reported that the Lakers have put calls in for Oladipo and a package of Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, and a first-round pick would be too much for the Lakers to give up.
This fact is very surprising considering that Oladipo was a back-to-back All-Star player in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons. However, it is clear that the injuries have greatly diminished his trade value. This is something that the Lakers could capitalize on.
A realistic trade package that would get Oladipo onto the team would be JaVale McGee, Avery Bradley, Danny Green, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in return for Victor Oladipo and Malcolm Brogdon and Victor Oladipo.
This would be the perfect deal for the Lakers as they would be able to hold onto a valuable young asset in Kyle Kuzma that could be used in another trade while still landing two great players.
While Oladipo would not bring much to the table in terms of shooting and floor spacing, he is an explosive player who is lethal around the basket and in running the floor.
His true value comes from his defensive ability. He has made an All NBA Defensive team twice in his career along with leading the league in steals once during his career.
Oladipo is earning $21 million for the next four seasons. This would put him into the role of the third option if the team was making that much financial investment in him. It would greatly inhibit the flexibility that the Lakers would have in future free agencies.
There are also some concerns about how Oladipo would fit with LeBron and Davis who thrive when being surrounded by shooters. However, if the trade mentioned previously was the deal that was agreed upon, Brogdon would make up for any of the shooting deficiencies the starting lineup would suffer from. Along with this, he would bring elite defense, keeping the Lakers near if not at the top of the league defensively.
