3 Chargers Making it Easy for L.A. to Say Goodbye in 2025

Morgan Fox
Another Chargers defender who is hitting free agency at the end of the season is Morgan Fox. The veteran defensive tackle has been an important part of the Bolts' defense over the last three seasons. He hasn't missed any games as a Charger and has 15.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, and 27 QB hits in 47 games.
Unfortunately, Fox has been showing signs of age-related decline this season. The 30-year-old has had his numbers fall across the board and currently ranks as the 85th-best interior defensive lineman among 124 qualified players, per PFF. His 52.5 defensive grade on PFF is the second-worst mark of his career and the Chargers would probably be better off looking for upgrades there in the offseason.
The Los Angeles Chargers will have difficult decisions to make in the offseason. They are in a tough financial situation and have to decide on what to do with the impending free agency of Khalil Mack and Kristian Fulton on the defensive end.
Fox has been an organizational stalwart for the past few years and any team could use competent veterans on their defensive line. The Bolts, however, don't only need to get younger and less expensive, but they also have to upgrade in a few positions to take the next step as a franchise. Moving on from Fox seems like an easy way to do so.
