2. Walker Buehler - SP

A two-time All-Star who has spent his entire career with the Dodgers, Walker Buehler will be looking for a large contract from someone this offseason, though Los Angeles would be wise to look elsewhere to bolster the rotation.

While Buehler threw five shutout innings in his lone World Series start so far and has fared well with a 3.86 ERA this postseason, he struggled for most of the year after missing the entire 2023 campaign recovering from Tommy John surgery. The writing is on the wall for the long-time Dodger and the front office needs to sign a bonafide ace to return to the throne in 2025.

For the year, Buehler started 16 games, compiling a 1-6 record with a 5.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts to 28 walks in 75.1 innings. He was shaking some rust off and could regain his excellent form but the warning signs are too significant to ignore.

There's something to be said about Buehler's phenomenal World Series efforts though. He shines when the lights are brightest. Despite the tough year, Buehler came up big when it mattered most.

Los Angeles' rotation will likely look different in 2025, especially if the front office spends heavily on some of those marquee free agents. Buehler has been fantastic overall with the club yet could put on a different uniform for the first time in a matter of months.
