3 Rams Making it Easy for LA to Say Goodbye in 2025

Joe Noteboom, OT
Once one of the better offensive linemen on the team, Joe Noteboom has taken significant steps back in recent years. Ever since signing a three-year, $40 million contract extension back in 2022, Noteboom has failed to live up to expectations.
Injuries obviously played a large part. In 2022, he suffered a torn Achilles in Week 6. He came back in 2023 and played in 14 games, splitting his time between left tackle, right tackle, and right guard. Even though Noteboom's versatility is valuable, he wasn't particularly effective in any of the three positions. On PFF, he was one of the weaker offensive linemen in the league, receiving a 52.3 overall grade.
Unfortunately, he hasn't fared much better this season. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 and landed on IR. He has since returned but wasn't able to take his starting job back. He once again spent time both at left tackle and right tackle but has an even worse PFF grade of 49.3. He has only appeared in two games this season and is strictly behind Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein in the pecking order.
Noteboom's contract is finally up at the end of this season. He will turn 30 before next season. The Rams are likely better off moving on to a younger option.
