5 Chargers Leaving L.A. in the New Year
4. Bradley Bozeman, C
The Los Angeles Chargers made some moves at center this year. Corey Linsley retired due to a heart issue, and Los Angeles pivoted to adding Bradley Bozeman on a one-year deal for $1.125 million.
Bozeman was added due to his solid run-blocking ability, which was enticing since Los Angeles wanted to become a more run-heavy team. The Alabama product has logged a 61.5 overall grade (30th among 62 eligible centers), 51.2 pass-blocking grade (51st among 62 eligible centers), and 64.8 run-blocking grade (25th among 62 eligible centers) per PFF.
While he's been solid, the Chargers could look to add more stability as a pass blocker. In 2024, Bozeman has allowed 26 pressures, four hits, and given up four sacks.
Los Angeles could use someone who is a better pass protector and still bring that physicality in the run game. Bozeman was a cheap addition who played well but it wouldn't be surprising to see Los Angeles seek an upgrade.
5. Jalen Reagor, WR
The Los Angeles Chargers signed WR Jalen Reagor to their practice squad back in September as they added depth to the WR room.
Reagor spent some time on the practice squad before getting elevated to the active roster on multiple occasions in 2024. Despite logging 138 total snaps for Los Angeles, Reagor has only recorded seven catches for 100 yards and 14.3 yards per reception.
He was placed on IR earlier in December with a finger injury, ending his regular season.
Although Reagor is only 25 years old, the Chargers are his fourth team in the league. He came into the NFL as a first-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. The TCU product failed immensely there, finishing with 64 catches for 695 yards and three scores as an Eagle.
He then landed with the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots but didn't do anything there either. Reagor is following the same trajectory here in Los Angeles, which makes it easy to part ways with him in the offseason.
He has the draft status of being a first-round pick and has great speed. Reagor ran a 4.22 unofficial 40-yard dash and that quickness is always intriguing to teams. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't put it together in the pros.
With the Chargers expected to be aggressive in the WR market, Reagor won't be someone on their list.
