5 Chargers Making Their Final Playoff Run With L.A. in 2025
The Los Angeles Chargers punched their ticket to the postseason when they blew out the New England Patriots 40-7 in Week 17. Not many people expected the Chargers to be this competitive, while many thought it would be a transition year.
There was no such thing under Jim Harbaugh, and they will be either the fifth or sixth seed in the AFC. The Chargers are seeking to make a deep postseason run. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL and teams look to capitalize whenever they get a chance.
The roster will look different in 2025. Free agency, trades, and cuts will happen over the next couple of months. There will be multiple players who won't be on the team. In this article, we'll discuss X players who are making their last playoff run with L.A.
1. Morgan Fox, DE
Defensive end Morgan Fox has been in Los Angeles for the past three seasons. Fox gives this team a solid force upfront who defends the run well and can also generate pressure.
Entering Week 18, Fox had notched 25 total tackles, four TFLs, and 3.5 sacks. The 30-year-old can line up in multiple spots, ranking second on the team in snaps at defensive tackle this year. Another underrated factor about Fox is his availability.
Fox is playing on the last season of a two-year, $7.25 million and is going to hit free agency this come March. Los Angeles could let him walk and look to bring in a cheaper option. They could also add a younger player in the NFL Draft.
Los Angeles has Otito Ogbonnia signed through 2025, and he could be someone he gets a larger role. This campaign, Ogbonnia has 36 total tackles with 13 total pressures.
