5 Rams Making Their Final Playoff Run With Los Angeles in 2025
By Cem Yolbulan
The Los Angeles Rams are going back to the playoffs for a second straight season and a fourth time in five seasons. After winning the NFC West, the Rams are looking to make a deeper postseason run this time around after losing in the wild-card round to the Lions last season.
Regardless of how far the Rams go in the playoffs, this will likely be the final run for a few key contributors. Let's take a look.
WR Tutu Atwell
In his fourth season in Los Angeles, Atwell had his most productive campaign yet. The former second-round pick took on a larger role during the early-season absences of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua and had a couple of big performances, including a 93-yard game against the 49ers in the Week 3 win.
Despite putting up a career-high in yards in a season, Atwell doesn't seem to be in the long-term plans of the organization. Once the Rams got healthy, Atwell's role was significantly reduced, and he played 11 and 9 offensive snaps in Week 16 and 17, respectively. He has been the WR4/5 behind Kupp, Nacua, and Demarcus Robinson in the second half of the season.
With Atwell hitting free agency after the season, it's hard to see the Rams wanting to bring him back. The 25-year-old wideout may not be too interested in a return, either, as he is likely to find a better opportunity with more snaps and guaranteed money.
Atwell had a 38-yard touchdown against the Lions in last season's playoffs. He can still make his case to stay with the Rams long-term with another solid outing in the postseason, but as things stand now, that seems unlikely.
