WR Demarcus Robinson

Atwell is not the only wide receiver who may leave Los Angeles in the offseason. Demarcus Robinson is also a free agent after the season and could find himself on the outs with the organization that could potentially revamp their WR room completely.

Robinson has played a career-high 81% of offensive snaps this season and led the Rams in the WR rotation in terms of snaps entering Week 18. He was a large part of the offense in the first half of the season but his role started dwindling after Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua's return from injury. In four games since Week 14, he hadn't had a single catch and was only targeted five times.

Plus, the veteran playmaker was involved in legal troubles. On November 25, Robinson was arrested for driving over 100mph on the highway while showing "objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment". The team decided not to suspend him but it could certainly contribute to their decision in the offseason.

Since being signed in the 2023 offseason, Robinson has exceeded expectations and surpassed Atwell in the pecking order. In 2024, he had his most productive campaign with a career-high in touchdowns. He is obviously still good enough to contribute to a team.

At the same time, the Rams need to find a younger, cheaper, and longer-term solution to their WR room. Kupp is aging and expensive already; they can't be relying on another pass-catcher in his 30s.

Robinson has made the playoffs in each of his nine seasons in the NFL. Unfortunately, this one might be his last with the Rams.
