5 Rams Whose Time in L.A. Will End After Divisional Round Loss to Eagles

2. Joe Noteboom, OL
Despite the Rams overachieving and going farther than anyone thought before the season, not every Rams player performed above expectations. In fact, there were plenty of veterans who didn't live up to their contract.
At the top of that list is offensive lineman Joe Noteboom. Since signing a three-year, $40 million contract with the Rams in the 2022 offseason, things haven't gone according to the plan for Noteboom. After playing in a total of 20 games in the last two seasons, Noteboom missed significant time once again after suffering an ankle injury in the Week 1 loss to the Lions.
The 29-year-old played only four games in the regular season, one of them coming in the meaningless Week 18 loss against the Seahawks. Since being activated from injured reserve in November, Noteboom was used sparingly as a backup behind Alaric Jackson, who became the full-time left tackle, and Rob Havenstein, who took over at right tackle.
In those appearances, Noteboom had a 60.0 PFF grade, the third-worst mark of his seven-year career.
Noteboom's frustrating journey in Los Angeles is likely coming to an end. It's hard to see the Rams wanting to re-sign the veteran defender whose contract expires this offseason.
This is certainly a disappointing end for the former third-round selection. He played a large part in the Super Bowl win but the injuries have taken a toll on him since. After ACL and MCL tears early in his career, followed by a torn Achilles tendon during the 2022 season made him a shell of himself in recent years.
