The Los Angeles Chargers took a major step forward in 2024 under Jim Harbaugh, more than doubling their win total and returning to the postseason. After falling short against the Houston Texans in the wild-card round, the Bolts are looking to improve in the offseason and get over the hump in 2025.

The biggest area they need to improve upon is their passing game. While the Chargers had an elite defense and a solid run game, their passing game left plenty to be desired. One of the big reasons why is their weak wide receiver rotation.

That is why many Chargers fans are hoping for a big move for a WR this offseason. In fact, the fanbase is already pressuring the players to start recruiting playmakers.

So far, the players are obliging. Derwin James recently told Keenan Allen to come back and now another defender is joining in the recruitment efforts for a different Pro Bowl receiver.

Daiyan Henley Begins His Recruitment Efforts for DK Metcalf

Daiyan Henley, following his breakout season in Los Angeles, was asked by a fan on Instagram to "tell DK to come to the Chargers". The talented defender told the fan he was "on it".

Henley and Metcalf were seen working out together recently and the two players seem to be friends. Henley played college football at Washington State when Metcalf was in Seattle.

After six seasons with the Seahawks, Metcalf is reportedly on the trade block. The 27-year-old is entering the final season of his contract after finishing 2024 with 66 catches, 992 yards, and five touchdowns in 15 games. Since he is not a free agent, what Henley can do in terms of recruitment is limited but it's nice to see the Chargers players take initiative to help improve the roster.
