Derek Hart is a UCLA graduate who's pursuing a writing career after over twenty years in education, mostly as a P.E. teacher and a sports coach. He was the editor of SoCalSportsHub.com, the precursor to this site, is currently the associate lead editor of this L.A. Sports Hub site, and is in his sixth year overall covering UCLA football, basketball and other Bruin sports. Derek is also a longtime Dodgers fan, having inherited that from his grandparents and having followed them since childhood.
