The Los Angeles Rams are a move or two away from true Super Bowl contention, but they have massive offseason questions they need to answer before thinking about the Lombardi Trophy. The biggest of them all is obviously the quarterback situation.

Matthew Stafford is returning for another season, but whether it will be with the Rams is unclear. He wants a new contract in Los Angeles, but the front office is seemingly hesitant to do so. In fact, they have given his agent permission to discuss contract terms with other teams. He may very well be moved this offseason.

If that happens, the Rams will not have too many quality QB options available to replace Stafford. One name that keeps coming up is Aaron Rodgers. In fact, the 41-year-old is reportedly angling to be the Rams' next QB.

Rams Rumors: Aaron Rodgers Emerging as Potential Matthew Stafford Replacement

ESPN's Adam Schefter went on The Pat McAfee Show and said that the Rams would appeal to Rodgers, who is a regular guest on McAfee's show himself and who wants to play for at least one more season. Not only is he a big fan of Sean McVay, but the Rams also tick a lot of boxes for the former Packers legend.

Rodgers lives in Southern California and has revealed a desire to play for a contender. The Rams are ready to win now and are an attractive option for a player looking to win his second Super Bowl.

Plus, the Rams just hired Alex Van Pelt as a senior offensive assistant. Van Pelt was Rodgers' QB coach in Green Bay between 2014 and 2017, and the two reportedly have a close relationship.

Rodgers is a very vocal quarterback who likes things his way. He has been an active decision-maker within the organizations he has played for. Whether the Rams would or should give an aging Rodgers that kind of voice within the organization is a different question, but the mercurial signal-caller seems to be very interested in joining the team.
