The Los Angeles Chargers had a lot of overturn this offseason. With Jim Harbaugh as the new leader, the Chargers have been able to quickly turn things around.

They started the Week 16 slate of games when they hosted the Denver Broncos in an AFC West tilt. The Chargers came out with a 34-27 win, advancing to 9-6 on the campaign. They have a 97% chance of making the playoffs.

Los Angeles will look to make some noise in the postseason but the speculation around the offseason has already begun. Bleacher Report's scouting department dropped an article discussing every team's weakness entering Week 16 and projected free-agent additions.

In that article, they had EDGE Khalil Mack signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.

They wrote, "Josh Sweat's and Graham's contracts are about to expire, Graham has also publicly admitted to contemplating retirement in the offseason, and Bryce Huff has been a disappointing acquisition in 2024. In other words, Philadelphia might be looking for some help on the edge of its defense this spring"

Prior to the start of the season, Mack took a pay cut to stay in Los Angeles. The University at Buffalo product reduced his salary from $23.25 million to $19 million and he can't be franchise-tagged in 2025.

The 33-year-old has been in Los Angeles for the past three seasons, where's notched 161 total tackles, 38 tackles for loss, and 30 sacks. In 2023, he posted a career-high 17 sacks, showcasing he has juice left in the tank.

The Chargers are expected to have around $74 million in cap space according to Spotrac. While they'll have the funds to re-sign Mack if they want, there will be other teams seeking his services on the open market.

Philadelphia's currently 12-2 and is one of the best teams in the league. Adding an eight-time Pro Bowler could be in the cards for them, as they look to bolster their pass rush.
