The Los Angeles Chargers have been one of the biggest surprises of the season. After finishing the 2023 season 5-12, the Bolts took a massive step forward under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. At 8-4 with five games to go, the Chargers look like a good bet to make the postseason.

The biggest reason for the Chargers' success is their elite defense. Currently the top-ranked defensive unit in the NFL, the Bolts have been consistently impressive on that end of the field all season.

As a result, their standout defenders are getting a ton of attention. This could prove to be a problem in free agency after the season.

In fact, Bleacher Report already projects that talented cornerback Kristian Fulton may leave Los Angeles in the offseason. They predict that the Green Bay Packers will be interested in the 26-year-old who is having a career year in his first season as a Charger.

"The Packers will probably move on from 2021 first-round pick Eric Stokes in the offseason. While Stokes showed some promise as a rookie, the Packers haven't been able to rely on him since. With $63.7 million in projected 2025 cap space, Green Bay will likely take a long look at cornerbacks on the 2025 market."

After spending the first four seasons of his career with the Titans, the former second-round pick signed with the Chargers in free agency. Opposite Tarheeb Still, the talented defender made a formidable duo, playing a huge part in the elite Chargers defense.

The Chargers may not have the means to retain Fulton going forward. Green Bay has a ton of cap space to make Fulton an enticing offer. Whether the Chargers front office will be willing to break the bank for Fulton remains to be seen.
