Chargers vs. Texans Halftime Show Announced for Wild Card Round
By Cem Yolbulan
The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off their best season in six years, finishing 11-6 to set up a fascinating wild-card round matchup against the Houston Texans. In his first year as a head coach, Jim Harbaugh took the Bolts to another level, turning them into one of the best defensive units in the league. Now, they want to show everyone that they belong and are a serious Super Bowl threat.
The Texans, on the other hand, finished their second straight 10-7 season and want to go further than they did last year. In 2023, they defeated the Browns in the wild-card round before getting blown out by the Ravens in the divisional round. They are 2.5-point favorites for the Saturday showdown per FanDuel Sportsbook.
Houston also revealed what they had in store for the fans at NRG Stadium.
Bobby Pulido to Perform at Texans-Chargers Halftime Show
The AFC South champions will have Bobby Pulido perform at the halftime show. Pulido is an acclaimed singer and songwriter known for being one of the most influential artists of Tejano music. He has received several platinum records for his music and has been nominated for prestigious awards such as Premio Lo Nuestro, Latin Grammys, Fiestas Mexicanas Awards, and the Tejano Music Awards. He will perform with Texans Mariachi.
Before the game, another familiar face will be kicking off the festivities. Former Texans star and greatest running back in franchise history, Arian Foster, will take the field before the game to get the fans ready for kickoff.
This represents a perfect opportunity for the Chargers to go and spoil the party in Houston, similar to what they did the last time these two teams faced off in Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season when the Bolts won 34-24.
