The Los Angeles Rams will head into free agency with the 10th-highest cap number at $55 million. They have a talented roster but need to make some additions to get over the hump in the NFC.
The roster will look different in 2025, and WR Cooper Kupp is expected to play elsewhere. Shortly after their season ended, Kupp posted online that the Rams were looking to move him. Time has gone by, and there has been no movement in that area.
Kupp sat down with Sam Farmer of the LA Times and discussed what it's like knowing his time in LA is nearing an end.
Kupp said, "And as time has gone on I’ve had to deal with all the frustration, anger, sadness, all these things that as a human you process. Having to say goodbye to people and know that that door is closed. That’s been tough to walk through as the weeks have gone by."

Cooper Kupp Expresses How He Feels With His Time in la Dwindling
Kupp revealed that he walked into head coach Sean McVay's office and was told the team plans on moving him. He asked if there were any other ways forward but was told this was the direction that the team wanted to head in.
That is tough for a player who was a third-round pick by Los Angeles during the 2017 NFL Draft. Kupp spent his entire eight-year career with the Rams and has been an effective playmaker. In 104 career games, the 31-year-old has compiled 634 receptions (892 targets) for 7,776 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns.
Kupp has two years left on his deal, but his cap hits are high. In 2025, he has a $29.7 million hit, and a $27.3 million hit in 2026. With the emergence of Puka Nacua and Kupp failing to play a full season since 2021, the Rams want to move on.
That's a tough pill to swallow for Kupp, but the writing is on the wall. He'll be playing elsewhere in 2025, and it could pick up steam with free agency opening up next week.
