Eagles Dealing With Big Absence Ahead of Rams Playoff Game
The Divisional Round of the 2025 NFL Playoffs goes down this weekend. Four matchups across the league will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The No. 4 seed Los Angeles Rams travel to play the No. 2 seed Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Eagles have opened up a 6.5-point favorite.
The Rams are coming off a commanding 27-9 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round. A trip to the NFC Championship Game is on the line, and both teams will be giving it their all. On Wednesday, the Eagles had a practice session, and receiver A.J. Brown wasn't seen out there.
A.J. Brown Missed Wednesday’s Practice for the Eagles
Following the practice, Brown said he'll be back on the practice field on Thursday, but this is something to watch going into the game.
Leading into the Wild Card game, the Eagles gave Brown a rest day for his knee and it looks like they are doing it again. Last week, Brown was limited on Wednesday, DNP on Thursday, and a full participant on Friday.
He's confident that he'll be suiting up on Sunday, but it's clear that he won't be 100% for this showdown. The Ole Miss product is the No. 1 WR for the Eagles' aerial attack and has shown the ability to take over games.
This season for the Eagles, Brown had 67 catches for 1,079 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. During the Week 12 game against the Rams, Brown racked up six catches (seven targets) for 109 yards and one touchdown.
Brown not being at 100% is an advantage for the Rams, even though it sounds like he'll be suited up. The Eagles offense has a lot of difference-makers that can give Los Angeles some problems.
Running back Saquon Barkley led the way in the first matchup, finishing with 255 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The Rams have their hands full but have momentum coming off a playoff victory.
