Every Rams Fan Will Relate to LeBron James' Latest NFL Tweet
Thursday night was exactly what Los Angeles Rams fans were hoping for. Finally having his two top wide receivers back in action, Matthew Stafford lit up the Minnesota Vikings to get back in the win column and put the Rams back into playoff contention.
Always one to back the other teams in L.A., LeBron James summed up what every Rams fan was thinking about the game with the perfect tweet on Thursday night.
Stafford turned it what was easily his best game fo the season, going 25-of-34 for 279 yards with 4 touchdowns to just 1 interception. His 124.5 passer rating was his best in any game since Week 11 of the 2022 season.
Finally having Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua healthy again let him showcase that, even at 36 years old, he's every bit as good as he was in 2023, when he made the Pro Bowl and finished top-10 in MVP voting. So what was LeBron (and every other Rams fan) saying about Stafford? It was simple.
And "so damn good" he is. Stafford finished 7th among 77 graded quarterbacks in PFF's passing grade in 2023, proving that he's still every bit an elite NFL quarterback. And while some of the more reactive NFL fans around the world started to doubt him early in 2024, how can you fault a guy for failing to put up numbers with Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Whittington as his top two targets?
Stafford is so damn good, and with this offense humming again Rams fans are probably taking a long look at the surprisingly long odds available on their team making the playoffs, which currently sit at +390 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Rams may still be below .500, but at 3-4 they're tied for second in the NFC West, and knocking off the then-5-1 Minnesota Vikings isn't something that should be overlooked. This offense is every bit as dangerous as the one that went 9-6 in Stafford's 15 regular season starts in 2023.
