We have reached the point in the NBA offseason where veterans who have not been able to latch on with new teams within the league are looking overseas for whatever opportunities are available abroad.
One of those veterans to make the jump this week has ties to the Los Angeles Lakers. After spending three seasons with the Golden State Warriors, where he helped the team to a league championship in 2022, the former Marquette Golden Eagles standout took his talents to Los Angeles and joined forces with the Purple and Gold.
Unfortunately, Juan Toscano-Anderson's stint with the Lakers was short-lived. He was ultimately traded to the Utah Jazz in a three-team deal after just 30 appearances for Los Angeles in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Now, however, the veteran forward is taking his talents to Europe for the first time. According to a report from PianetaBasket.com, Toscano-Anderson has signed a deal with Pallacanestro Trieste of Lega Basket Serie A and the Basketball Champions League.

Ex-Laker Juan Toscano-Anderson Agrees to New Deal With Italian Team
As noted above, Toscano-Anderson only enjoyed a short time on the roster in Los Angeles. In his time with the Lakers, the forward averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game. Of his 30 appearances, seven included Toscano-Anderson as part of the starting lineup.
While the forward enjoyed plenty of success as a depth piece for the Warriors, the same magic wasn't there once he donned the Purple and Gold. With Los Angeles desperately needing to get Russell Westbrook off the roster ahead of the trade deadline, Toscano-Anderson was thrown in as part of the deal to help make things work under the league's collective bargaining agreement.
Since leaving the Lakers, Toscano-Anderson has suited up for the Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, and Mexico City Capitanes of the NBA G League. Now, he will pack his bags and see how he stacks up against the best the Italian league has to offer.
