The Los Angeles Chargers went 11-6 this season in the first year of the Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz era. Many people around the league didn't expect the Chargers to be in the postseason after they did a lot of reshuffling along the roster.

In the Wild Card Round, the Chargers got torched 32-12 by the Houston Texans, but there are still a lot of positive things to take from this campaign. Harbaugh and Hortiz spoke with members of the media on Wednesday. During that session, Harbaugh announced he doesn't expect to be making any changes to his coaching staff this offseason.

Chargers News: Jim Harbaugh Plans To Bring Back Same Coaching Staff

Keeping continuity going into next season will help the Chargers build on what they have. Jesse Minter is the defensive coordinator and had that unit flying around. Los Angeles was 11th in total defense (324.4), seventh in pass defense (206.9), and 14th in run defense (117.5). Meanwhile, they led the league in scoring defense (17.7).

The 41-year-old had this unit playing at a high level and has been with Harbaugh since 2022 at the University of Michigan. There would be no reason to part ways with him.

Offensively, Greg Roman is the coordinator and has a lot of experience in the league. He's had success at different spots like Baltimore, Buffalo, and San Francisco. The offensive production needs to improve some next season but that is something that Hortiz can help with by adding more playmakers this offseason.

Special teams coordinator Ryan Ficken did a great job with his unit as well. Kicker Cameron Dicker went 39-of-42 on field goal attempts and 33-of-36 on field goal attempts. Punter JK Scott averaged 46.7 yards per punt with 28 punts pinned inside the 20.

The Chargers should be a better team in 2025 and keeping the same voices around will help play a role in that.
