The Los Angeles Lakers have hit a wall and aren't playing good basketball lately. Los Angeles has lost three of their last four games and sits with a 13-11 record.

They are fetching for answers to right the ship and will have to navigate Friday's game without LeBron James, who is unlikely to play with foot soreness.

While all this is happening with the Lakers, they have Bronny James in the G-League with the South Bay Lakers. They first said that Bronny would only play in home games for South Bay but reverted course and decided to let the USC product travel for his first road game on Thursday against the Valley Suns.

With just one road game under his belt, that appeared to be the right choice.

Lakers News: Bronny James Dominates in First Road G-League Game

In the contest against the Valley Suns, James finished with a career-high 30 points, three rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal in 25 minutes. He also shot 13-of-23 from the field and 3-of-9 from beyond the arc.

This comes one game after he had 16 points in the win over the San Diego Clippers on Dec. 7.

The 2024 second-round pick has the skills to be an effective player but he needed the reps to sharpen his tools. When the Lakers came out and said that he was only going to play in home games, it didn't make sense. Why limit the kid to only home games and not allow him to play as much as possible?

Getting him on the road will only benefit his skillset as time goes on and Thursday's outing showcases they made the right decision getting him out there.

Bronny is gaining more confidence with each game and is finding a rhythm. In four games with South Bay, he's averaging 14 points, three rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

As the season progresses, Los Angeles hopes that his arrow continues to trend up and the last two outings indicate that is a real possibility.
