The Los Angeles Lakers are entering a new era now that the Buss family has decided to sell their majority stake in the franchise to Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walter.

While the change may have caught Lakers fans by surprise, there is plenty of reason to be excited about what it means for the future. One of the current members of the Purple and Gold expressed their excitement over what will be the next chapter in the history of pro basketball in Los Angeles.

Fortunately for the Lakers, one of the most important players on the roster seems to be a fan of the move and is looking forward to what the future holds for the Lakers under Walter's ownership.

Luka Doncic Very Excited For Future Following Surprising Lakers Sale

Luka Doncic has every reason to be excited about Walter taking over, as his tenure with the Los Angeles Dodgers has shown that he will be willing to spend money as needed to ensure the franchise competes for championships year in and year out.

Thursday morning, Doncic took to social media to address the sale of the franchise from the Buss family to Walter, and as you can see below, he seems to be fully on board for what comes next in Los Angeles.

Considering Doncic is extension-eligible this summer, these comments are going to be welcomed by Lakers fans across the world. The last thing the Purple and Gold would need in this moment is for Doncic to have any second thoughts about his future in Los Angeles.

Fortunately, that doesn't appear to be something that fans need to concern themselves with. Whether it is a three-year deal or a four-year deal, all signs still point toward Doncic remaining with the Lakers for years to come.
