The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off one of the greatest and most surprising trades in NBA history in the wee hours of Sunday morning, acquiring Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Anthony Davis and pieces.

Doncic immediately reshapes the entire organization's outlook, giving LeBron James a bonafide MVP to play alongside in the twilight of his career. There are likely more moves on the horizon, but Los Angeles justifiably has NBA Finals aspirations based on this wild twist of fate.

This transaction transforms both franchises and gives James a chance to win his fifth championship. However, Mavericks fans haven't received the news quite so well.

In fact, Dallas fans launched a full protest against the decision, bringing a casket to American Airlines Arena as a tribute to their deceased fandom.

Lakers' Win in Luka Doncic Trade Made Obvious by Mavericks Fans Protesting

While playing the Wiz Khalifa song "See You Again" which features lyrics like, "It's been a long day without you, my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again," these fans made their opinion on the move clear.

Still remarkably just 25 years old, Doncic is a five-time First-Team All-Pro with two Western Conference Finals appearances and an NBA Finals appearance on his resume. Aside from Wilt Chamberlain, Doncic is probably the most accomplished player to ever be traded.

Nico Harrison is suddenly the most hated person in the state of Texas. Whatever he thought he was going to accomplish, it clearly backfired.

Making your fans believe matters. That's why the Lakers faithful have been so frustrated in recent years, as Rob Pelinka failed to produce a competitive roster around James. Everything has changed now, and Los Angeles is built to compete not only this season but for the next decade.

Meanwhile, Dallas' front office spit in the face of everyone who cares about their team. That doesn't seem like the wisest choice one could make.

With Doncic, all things are possible. Mavericks fans knew that, and now Lakers ones have a new opportunity to win a championship in James' final years, it's time to get excited. As things stand, Los Angeles jumped from +4500 to +2000 to win the title at DraftKings Sportsbook.
