The Los Angeles Chargers have taken advantage of free agency to revamp the roster. Entering the offseason with the second-most cap space of any team in the NFL, the Chargers have been active and aggressive on the open market. Even though they didn't break the bank for any one player, they signed six external free agents, including three former Steelers: CB Donte Jackson, WR Mike Williams, and RB Najee Harris.

Harris didn't waste any time before taking a shot at his previous organization. In his first remarks as a Charger, the talented running back praised the facilities in LA, calling it "a special thing". He then emphasized twice that "it is not like this everywhere".

Najee Harris Takes a Shot at His Former Team After Joining the Chargers

Considering the fact that Harris was drafted by the Steelers in 2021 and only played for them in his four-year career, it's impossible to read this statement as anything other than a shot at Pittsburgh. He said that the resources and the facilities he had at Alabama were similar to the Chargers', implying that it wasn't the case with the Steelers.

"It's not like this everywhere. This is a special thing. It reminded me of college at Alabama, with all the resources that they have. "

This is great to hear from a newly acquired player. The Chargers recently opened a new state-of-the-art training facility before the 2024 season. As a result, they received excellent grades on the NFL Players Association's annual report card, ranking third in the league for their training room and weight room while receiving an A for the locker room.

The Bolt, the new facility, is located in El Segundo near the LAX and SoFi Stadium. It is nice to see that it has already become a selling point for free agents and players around the league.
