The Los Angeles Rams were one of the best teams in the NFC this past season. They won the NFC West and advanced to the NFC divisional round, where they lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite being the NFC West champs, the Rams didn’t lead the league in scoring (21.6 points per game, 20th in the NFL) nor scoring defense (22.7 points per game allowed, 17th). However, Los Angeles led the league in one category that will not make Rams head coach Sean McVay or GM Les Snead happy.
According to an Action Network report, the Rams were ranked fifth among the most fined NFL teams in 2024-25. Los Angeles was fined a shocking $676,707 behind the Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Houston Texans. The Texans led the league in fines at $3,153,652.
As for the players who paid the most in fines this past season, Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was ranked third at $543,334. Jackson served a two-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the league. Texans defensive lineman Denico Autry paid the most in fines as he served a six-game suspension for PEDs ($2,176,470).
In addition to Jackson, Byron Young, Kamren Curl, and Jared Verse were also slammed with fines during the regular season. However, those three players' fines weren’t close to what Jackson paid.
Young was fined $23,897 for a face mask penalty, Curl was fined $22,511 for impermissible use of the helmet, and Verse was handed a $15,287 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct. Los Angeles hopes that these penalties will not become a common occurrence heading into next season.
For example, several players were given a heavier fine/penalty for impermissible use of a helmet. Baltimore Ravens standout cornerback Marlon Humphrey led the league in fines for impermissible use of a helmet at $67,531.
