The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a hard-fought win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 as they try to take control of first place in the NFC West.

Los Angeles and Seattle are tied for first place in the division as both teams have an 8-6 record. The Rams have won three straight games, including a huge win at home over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

The Rams will try to keep that momentum going this week against the New York Rams. Even though the Jets only have four wins on the season, this week’s game won’t be easy for Los Angeles.

The last time the Rams played on the East Coast was during the 1 p.m. ET window against the New England Patriots in Week 11. The Jets won 32-25 over Jacksonville last week, thanks to a dominant performance from superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.

Nonetheless, if the Rams can defeat the Jets for their ninth win, Sean McVay and his team are setting themselves up for a huge matchup in Week 17 vs. the Cardinals. Arizona is right behind the Rams and Seahawks in the NFC West race with a 7-7 race.

The Cardinals snapped their three-game losing streak after defeating the New England Patriots, 30-14 last week. Arizona will also be on the road for Week 16, heading to Charlotte to play the Carolina Panthers.

If the Rams lose to the Jets and the Cardinals beat the Panthers, it sets up a huge matchup in Week 17. On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Cards-Rams will be televised on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network.

Los Angeles’ Week 17 game will be a part of an NFL Network triple-header that features Los Angeles-New England at 1 p.m. ET and Denver-Cincinnati at 4:30 p.m. ET. These two teams played each other in Week 2, where the Rams lost 41-10 to the Cardinals.

Despite that early-season loss to the Cardinals, the Rams have gone 3-1 in the division and are on the verge of making the playoffs through the division or wildcard.
