NFL Takes Aggressive Action After Chargers Player's Pick-6 in Week 13
By Joe Summers
Recent Chargers draft pick Tarheeb Still enjoyed easily his finest game as a professional in Week 13 against the Falcons. For his efforts, the NFL immediately issued an agressive action.
Still made a humorous social media post showing he was drug tested after getting two interceptions and a TD in a win. Based on how poor Atlanta QB Kirk Cousins played, perhaps the league would be better off testing him instead.
Originally a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Still seemingly has a bright future. Hopefully, this is the first of many bizarre tests from the league to come.
Chargers CB Tarheeb Still Drug Tested After Excellent Game
It's a hilarious post from the rookie, clearly enjoying the performance he just completed. The Chargers look like legitimate AFC contenders, in large part due to the excellent contributions from their draft class.
For anyone watching at home, this is the play the NFL felt worthy of issuing a drug test:
Cousins threw four interceptions, each arguably worse than the last. Still deserves immense credit for jumping the pass. Still defected three passes as well, emerging as perhaps the single-biggest reason Los Angeles won the game.
The Chargers now must prepare for a road showdown with the Chiefs with an opportunity to still steal the division should Kansas City falter down the stretch. Should Los Angeles win, the AFC West is suddenly wide open.
It'd require some magic but Still is proving that magic can come from anywhere. Despite limited targets, Still has only surrendered a 78.4 passer rating when targeted in coverage.
That's no need for this ridiculous NFL test but it's still fantastic news for Chargers fans entering the final days of the regular season.
