10 Rams Entering Their Final Season With Los Angeles

With Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season set to kickoff this week, it's a good time to look ahead at a few players who could spend their last seasons in Los Angeles.

4. Tutu Atwell

Atwell could be in the same boat as Robinson after this season. The 24-year-old wide receiver is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2025.

The former second-round pick made his presence felt early last season as the Rams didn’t have star wideout Cooper Kupp for the first four games. Atwell took advantage of the star receiver’s absence, recording 22 receptions (35 targets) for 270 yards and a touchdown. He also saw 8.8 targets per game during that period.

However, once Kupp returned in Week 5 and Robinson emerged late in the season Atwell saw his role take a nosedive. The 5-foot-9 wide receiver had 17 receptions (32 targets) for 213 yards and two touchdowns.

Atwell averaged 2.7 targets per game over the last 12 contests – a stark decrease from the first five games of the season.

Last month, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Rams don’t want to trade Atwell, but they don’t have a plan for him either. That said, whatever role the 24-year-old wideout plays in the passing game, the Rams hope Atwell will flourish in his contract year.

However, if Atwell can look like the same player we saw at the beginning of the 2023 season, it might be hard for Los Angeles to keep him in blue and yellow for the foreseeable future.
