3. Joey Bosa

Bosa isn’t an unrestricted free agent like Ekeler and Williams but could be one of the few cap casualties this offseason as the Chargers try to fix their financial standing.

The 28-year-old defensive end only played in nine games this season due to a foot injury that caused him to be placed on injured reserve. Bosa had 20 combined tackles, eight quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, and six tackles for loss.

The former first-round pick has struggled to stay healthy over the last two seasons, playing in 14 out of a possible 34 regular season games.

With Bosa’s lingering injury issues, LA could move on from the veteran pass-rusher as he has a potential out in his contract for 2024.

However, the Chargers’ best option this offseason might be to trade Bosa and get some value back, as he has two years left on his five-year, $135 million contract extension that he signed in 2020.

Los Angeles might not get a first or second-round pick in return for Bosa. But any type of draft capital could help the Chargers get their cap issues under control. In addition to Bosa, it would not be surprising to see Los Angeles move on from Khalil Mack, who posted a career-high 17 sacks this season and has a $38.5 million cap hit in 2024.
