3 Former Rams Who Still Can't Find a Job in 2024 Free Agency
The Los Angeles Rams have been active on the free-agent front but they have made some quality additions, especially along the offensive line.
The Rams resigned Kevin Dotson to a three-year extension while also bringing in Jonah Jackson on a three-year, $51 million dollar deal. They also added the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo, Kamren Curl, and Darious Williams.
As for some former players on the squad, they have failed to secure a new team for the 2024 campaign. Below we'll discuss three players who are on the open market looking for a new team next season.
1. Carson Wentz, QB
Quarterback Carson Wentz joined the Rams in November of last season as they needed a backup for Matthew Stafford.
Wentz ended up suiting up in just one game, going 17-of-24 for 163 yards with two passing touchdowns and one interception.
Once upon a time, the 31-year-old was the franchise quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles but things have been the same since he tore his ACL in 2017. Since then, he's been a journeyman QB and that's likely what he'll be in 2024.
Wentz waited on the market last year in hopes of becoming a starting quarterback but that never materialized.
His best bet going forward is to be QB2 somewhere. Wentz is a risk-taker but still owns a big-time arm to push the ball downfield. In his career, the North Dakota State product has thrown for 22,292 passing yards with 153 passing touchdowns and 67 interceptions.
