3 Hypothetical Trade Packages That Could Actually Bring Steph Curry to the Lakers

Trade Package #1:

Any trade scenario that has Steph Curry heading to the Lakers has to include all the draft capital the Lakers have. If the Warriors are trading Curry, they are likely entering a new era. This would require as many draft assets as possible to kickstart the rebuilding.

This trade does precisely that.

The Warriors end up with two unprotected first-round picks. Those could be extremely valuable draft picks as LeBron and Curry age and the Lakers are inevitably not as good down the line. Plus, they get three first-round pick swaps. If the Lakers are indeed a lottery team in a couple of years, the Warriors would have the ability to move up in the draft using these swap rights.

In addition, the Warriors add Austin Reaves, a playmaker with upside who they can build their future team around. Max Christie is a worthy flyer while D'Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura are included more for salary-matching purposes.

The Lakers lose a ton of depth in this trade but they build the best Big 3 in the league with Curry, LeBron, and Anthony Davis, making them the immediate Western Conference favorites.
