2. Gabe Vincent, PG/SG

The Lakers needed to improve their depth last offseason, resulting in their signing Gabe Vincent to a three-year, $33 million deal. It was a move that amped up the Los Angeles fanbase given that the ex-UC Santa Barbara guard had improved with each passing season during his time with the Miami Heat.

Unfortunately, Vincent's first year with the Lakers couldn't have gone any worse. The 28-year-old veteran only suited up in the first four games of the campaign before missing 69 of the next 70 games with a knee injury. By the time the dust settled, he had averaged a putrid 3.1 PTS/0.8 REB/1.9 AST while shooting 30.6% from the floor and 10.7% from deep.

Vincent returned to the lineup in time for the postseason and a strong showing likely would've secured his spot in the Lakers' future plans, but that wasn't the case. Despite averaging close to 14 minutes of playing time in the playoffs, Vincent only mustered 1.4 PPG with a 25.0 FG% and 14.3 3P% while finishing three of five postseason games with zero points.

Considering how Vincent is owed $11 million next season and $11.5 million in 2025-26, it makes a ton of sense for the Lakers to move him. Whether it's just to free up cap space or use his salary in a bigger deal, Los Angeles can't afford to run things back with him as the No. 2 PG — especially if his knee isn't fully healed.
