Budda Baker, Cardinals Safety

Baker was once a great safety and has now made the Pro Bowl for five consecutive seasons, but this may be the beginning of the end for him.

Now 28-years-old, Baker had his worst season last year. It’s easy to write that off due to a poor Arizona defense around him, but it’s also hard to argue with the stats.

On the surface, it’s ugly. He played in 12 games last season and had ZERO interceptions, forced fumbles, or pass deflections.

He also allowed 15.5 yards per completion – by far the most in his career – and was hardly used as a blitzer.

If he isn’t stopping receivers OR pressuring the quarterback, it’s going to be hard to make the argument that he’s still a top defensive back in the NFC West much longer.
