4 Former Lakers L.A. Should Sign for a Reunion This Offseason

There's nothing like reuniting with a familiar face. That's why the Lakers should consider targeting these four former Los Angeles players for a reunion this summer.

3. Reggie Bullock, SF/SG

Circling back to the need to improve wing/three-point shooting play, Reggie Bullock is another UFA who the Lakers should attempt to reunite with. The 11-year veteran's time in Los Angeles was shortlived as he only spent half of the 2019-19 campaign with the franchise.

Bullock, 33, is likely looking to join a contender this offseason as he searches for his first NBA ring. The ex-UNC Tar Heel is coming off a forgettable season with the Houston Rockets that saw him average 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds across 44 games while only playing 9.5 minutes per night — his lowest playing in nearly a decade.

But even if his last performance wasn't anything special, Bullock still fits the Lakers' needs. For starters, his 2023-24 performance wasn't all bad as he still shot 40.3% from the three-point line on 1.5 attempts per night. While that's a small sample size, let's not forget that it was only two seasons ago that he was averaging 1.9 threes made with a 38.0% success rate.

What also makes Bullock an attractive option is that he likely won't cost more than the veteran minimum, meaning the Lakers don't have to worry about him eating up cap space. The fact that he's one of J.J. Redick's former teammates only makes it more likely that he heads to Los Angeles.
