Kyle Anderson

You must be noticing a trend here. Kyle Anderson is another non-shooter who would only exacerbate the Lakers' offensive problems.

The biggest issue the Lakers had over the last couple of years has been their lack of two-way players. They either had to play offense-only players like Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell next to LeBron and Davis, or defense-only players like Jarred Vanderbilt. This meant that they had to sacrifice one end of the floor, making them not a viable playoff team.

That is why the No. 1 priority for Los Angeles this summer needs to be finding two-way players, especially on the wing.

Kyle Anderson is not that. He is a very good defender who can guard multiple positions and make plays at the rim. He is not the speediest or the most athletic player but he is a smart veteran who makes winning defensive plays. However, his offensive game is very limited. He doesn't take or make enough threes, making 11 of 48 threes last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Anderson averaged 6.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in 22.6 minutes of action last season, demonstrating his all-around game. He can fill the stat sheet and contribute in multiple ways.
