4 Low-Cost Free Agents the Lakers Can Still Sign After LeBron Extension

The Los Angeles Lakers' free agent options are limited this offseason due to financial constraints. Having said that, they can still make a play for these four low-cost free agents.

Adding another big man to the lineup was another one of the Lakers' priorities this offseason. But after seeing names like Jonas Valanciunas and Andre Drummond sign elsewhere, Los Angeles could consider giving Dario Saric a call.

Saric — an eight-year NBA veteran — spent the last season in a bench role with the Golden State Warriors. Although his opportunities were capped at 17.2 minutes per night, he still managed to average 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.5 steals throughout 64 appearances. He also put up 1.2 threes made on 37.6% shooting, revealing that he knows how to stretch the court.

With Saric now in his 30s, it's entirely possible that he's ready to chase a championship ring before it's too late. Any team boasting the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis should be in the title mix, meaning the Croatian center might be willing to take less money to join the Lakers — especially since such a deal would keep him in California.

With how badly the Lakers needed better center depth last season, signing the 6-foot-10 big man would go a long way in solving that need.
