Dalton Schultz, TE

It's time to give Justin Herbert a reliable TE1 option on third-downs and red-zone situations. The Bolts haven't had high-level tight end play in a while, and with Gerald Everett likely gone this offseason, they should make that a priority.

Dalton Schultz is probably the best tight end on the free agency market. According to PFF, he is the 14th-best tight end in the league and he has been as reliable and consistent as they come. He has had at least 50 receptions and over 500 yards in each of the last four seasons, averaging around 10 yards per reception.

The transition from Dak Prescott to C.J. Stroud didn't impact his numbers whatsoever as he was one of the favorite targets for the rookie last season with the Texans. Schultz is not going to make huge plays or rack up a ton of yards after the catch but the Chargers need more weapons and the 27-year-old Stanford product is certainly that.

He can also contribute as a blocker as he earned PFF grades above 60.0 for blocking for the past five seasons.
