The Los Angeles Rams have some cap space they can work with this offseason. These free agents should be at the top of their list.

On paper, the Rams don't need to add high-end talent to their receiver corps. They already have Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua as elite weapons, as well as Tutu Atwell still as a potentially viable WR3. However, Atwell has struggled to stay on the field at times and Demarcus Robinson and Austin Trammel are likely gone in free agency. This opens the door for a wide receiver addition in the offseason.

Darnell Mooney of the Chicago Bears fits exactly what the Rams are looking for. His career is on the decline after he burst onto the scene in 2021 when he had 81 receptions for 1,055 yards. Since then, he has been a victim of circumstances as he dealt with minor injuries and played in a dysfunctional passing offense.

However, the 26-year-old still has a ton of talent with his ability to consistently create separation.

This is the sort of "buy-low" free agent Los Angeles should try to target. The Rams don't need to break the bank for a wideout, but if they can get a low-risk, high-reward type of player like Mooney, Sean McVay is always a good bet to get the most out of such players.
