Van Jefferson

Who doesn't love a reunion? After two promising seasons to start his Rams career, Van Jefferson's NFL journey took a sharp turn, eventually resulting in his trade to the Falcons in the middle of the 2023 season. He hasn't been able to revive his career there, so perhaps a reunion in the moment of desperation is exactly what both sides need.

After Jefferson saw his number of offensive snaps reduced after being acquired by Atlanta last season, he left in free agency to join the Steelers. He started in both games for Pittsburgh so far and the Steelers are off to a surprising 2-0 start. So, it may be hard to lure him away from there but it's hard to see them turning down a strong offer. Jefferson is still low on the pecking order and has three catches and five targets for 15 yards, after all.

The 28-year-old receiver's best NFL season remains the 2021 campaign he had with the Rams when he had 50 catches, 802 yards, and six touchdowns. He is not going to replicate that but he could be a solid temporary solution.

Robert Woods

Well, now that we are getting nostalgic and talking about reunions, the name Robert Woods naturally comes up. Despite not being able to finish the season when the Rams won the Super Bowl, Woods has been one of the best receivers for the Rams in the Sean McVay era.

Woods has not been the same since tearing his ACL three years ago. However, he is still a competent depth option who could be a temporary fix for the Rams' depth concerns. Last season with the Houston Texans, Woods put up 40 catches for 426 yards, and scored a touchdown.

To start this season, Woods is further behind in the depth chart. The Texans have one of the best receiver corps in the league with Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell as the starters. Woods is unlikely to see significant snaps there. A trade could give him a larger role in Los Angeles, where he had the best years of his NFL career.
