Aaron Donald Could Still Have Major Impact on Rams' D-Line in 2024
The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a solid 2023 campaign, that saw them go 10-7 and return to the playoffs. They were sent home in the Wild Card round at the hands of the Detroit Lions but still had the arrow pointing up regarding the future of the team.
Things took a shift when defensive tackle Aaron Donald decided to retire from the NFL back in March. His departure left a massive hole along the defensive front but they opted to draft his potential replacement in the draft. With the 39th overall pick, Los Angeles took defensive tackle Brandon Fiske from Florida State.
With Fiske expected to play a major role as a rookie, he will be getting some pointers from Donald.
Rams News: Aaron Donald and Brandon Fiske Set to Workout Together
Even though Donald isn't on the team anymore, he and Fiske have spoken a few times and are expected to work out together before training camp starts.
Fiske working out with an eight-time First-Team All-Pro will only benefit him in his young career. Gaining knowledge from one of the best to ever do it will always go a long way.
Even though Fiske may not be prime Donald, he has the talent to still be an effective NFL player. He plays with a high motor and has a quick get-off. Fiske owns a solid pass-rush plan and stays physical at the point of attack.
In his collegiate career, he logged 192 total tackles, 36 tackles for loss, and 19 sacks. Mixing his raw talent while picking the brain of a future Hall-of-Famer could be a major boost for both Fiske and the Rams organization.
