The Los Angeles Lakers enter the offseason with so many different questions after a disappointing end to the 2023-24 season. The Lakers were sent home in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.

That led to the Lakers letting go of Darvin Ham and his entire coaching staff. There were times over the past two years were the Lakers looked confused and ill-prepared on the floor.

Anthony Davis even took a shot at Ham after a Game 2 loss to the Nuggets and the latest comments by Austin Reaves show he may not have been the biggest fan of his former coach either.

Lakers News: Austin Reaves Takes A Shot at Darvin Ham

Reaves was on a Zoom call with reporters to talk about the current state of the NBA and answered some questions about the Lakers' future. His comments didn't sound like he'll be missing Ham.

Reaves said, "I don't know when they're hiring a coach… But hopefully we get somebody that comes to work every single day the way that we do ready to go try to win a championship."

That is kind of alarming due to the fact that the Lakers should have striving for that anyway, especially with LeBron James getting up there in age.

In two seasons with Ham at the helm, the Lakers went 90-74 but failed to develop into serious title contenders. There were constant moments of bad lineups, rotations, and a lack of in-game adjustments.

Seeing Reaves say this isn't a shock but more of an indication that Ham wasn't the right guy for the job. Now management needs to make sure this next head coach hire will have these guys ready to compete at a championship level.
