Years ago, when the USC Trojans and the other PAC-12 schools were announced to head to the Big Ten, there was no doubt this was a football move. Football money and funding drive every sport in each college institution. This is why the move was made. During the Pete Carroll era, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that they would’ve belonged in this Big Ten.

Under Lincoln Riley, USC has become a disappointment shrouded by the greatness of Caleb Williams. The Trojans no longer have the Williams’ umbrella. On Sunday, we will find out if USC still has the guts to stay with big-time programs like LSU. It is a great test in what should be almost a USC home game. You rarely get to play an SEC team out of conference near your own backyard.

1. Key Player Watch

Quarterback Miller Moss showed us lots of potential against Louisville in the Holiday Bowl last December, but now he’s the starter. He is the play caller. The USC offensive line will be going up against defenses like Michigan and Penn State every single week. Miller will have to get used to making changes at the offensive line on every play. USC is entering a conference if you let up even once, you will get roasted like hot dog on the 4th of July. Moss will have the pressure of filling Williams’ shoes, which is impossible, and to lead a Trojans team into uncharted waters.
