NBA News: Alex Sarr Was Scoreless in a Summer League Outing
Alex Sarr was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. He has been highly regarded as a stout defender while working on his offensive game.
Despite his offense needing some work, he had one of the worst Summer League performances in history.
On Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, Sarr finished with zero points after shooting 0-of-15 from the field and 0-of-7 from beyond the arc. That was the most field goal attempts without a make at Summer League since 2017.
It was one of the worst outings you will see from anyone in the Summer League, especially a Top 3 pick. This showcases the outcry regarding Bronny's performances are overreactions. Especially since he was the No. 55 overall pick.
James stepped into the NBA as a developmental player. His defensive prowess is already solid but his offense needs some seasoning. And that's okay. He is just 19 years old and has the time to develop.
He already started showing improvements after getting some tips from his dad and that's a step in the right direction.
